"If it were not for a certain lack of daring in his painting I would say without hesitation that Richard is the most accomplished designer the School has produced. During the preparation of "King John", I found that he was able to collaborate with the producer on scenery and costumes with a very quick understanding of what was wanted. He was very efficient at fittings and knew how to organise his very heavy work in the making of costume and properties. Richard Negri will be a reliable and talented designer in any theatre."
